the representative government of the next generation

International Youth Congress
Our Past:
The International Youth Congress was founded in 2008 by Michael Tessler, a young visionary who established the organization in order to act as a representative government for the next generation. Since then, the International Youth Congress has grown to span six different continents and over forty nations. Notable achievements by our charters in the past have included establishing a school in Pakistan, passing a bill in the New York State legislature, launching a tech drive to help underprivileged teens, and more. Through political and humanitarian efforts like those described, the International Youth Congress supports youth causes around the globe.
Our Future:
In spite of the work already done by the International Youth Congress, much work in the field of youth initiatives remains. The vision of the International Youth Congress is to continue to expand until youth representatives from every country are included. Through humanitarian efforts and advocacy about youth issues, the IYC hopes to continue to make a positive difference in the world. Charters are encouraged to get involved in their own communities through pursuing projects of urgency and relevance.
